Ask your pharmacist for a list of the inactive ingredients in Trileptal no Prescription tablets or suspension.
- Tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take. Be sure to mention any of the following: amiodarone (Cordarone) amitriptyline (Elavil) calcium channel blockers such as amlodipine (Norvasc), diltiazem (Cardizem, Dilacor, Tiazac), felodipine (Plendil), isradipine (DynaCirc), nicardipine (Cardene), nifedipine (Procardia), nimodipine (Nimotop), nisoldipine (Sular), and verapamil (Calan, Covera, Isoptin, Verelan) chlorpromazine (Thorazine)clomipramine (Anafranil)cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan, Neosar) desmopressin (DDAVP, Minirin, Stimate)diazepam (Valium)diuretics ('water pills') hormonal contraceptives (birth control pills, rings, patches, implants, injections, and intrauterine devices) indapamide (Natrilix) other medications for seizures such as carbamazepine (Carbatrol, Epitol, Equetro, Tegretol), phenobarbital, phenytoin (Dilantin), and valproic acid (Depakene, Depakote) proton-pump inhibitors such as lansoprazole (Prevacid), omeprazole (Prilosec), and pantoprazole (Protonix) theophylline (Theo-Dur) and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) such as citalopram (Celexa), duloxetine (Cymbalta), escitalopram (Lexapro), fluoxetine (Prozac, Sarafem), fluvoxamine (Luvox), paroxetine (Paxil), and sertraline (Zoloft).Other medications may interact with Trileptal no Prescription, so be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the medications you are taking, even those that do not appear on this list. Your doctor may need to change the doses of your medications or monitor you carefully for side effects.
- Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had kidney or liverdisease.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. If you are using hormonal contraceptives , you should know that this type of birth control may not work well when taken with Trileptal no Prescription. Hormonal contraceptives should not be used as your only method of birth control while you are taking this medication. Talk to your doctor about birth control methods that will work for you. Call your doctor if you miss a period or think you may be pregnant while you are taking Trileptal no Prescription.
- You should know that this medication may make you drowsy or dizzy, or may cause vision changes. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until you know how this medication affects you.
Trileptal no Prescription Interactions
Do not take Trileptal no Prescription with any of the following drugs:
- Carbamazepine;
- Birth control pills;
- Chlorpropamide;
- Cyclophosphamide;
- Diuretics;
- Octreotide;
- Other drugs for seizures like phenobarbital, phenytoin, valproic acid;
- Some drugs for high blood pressure like felodipine, diltiazem, verapamil;
- Vincristine;

ADULTS

The usual starting dose is 300 mg twice daily. Your doctor may gradually increase the dose to 600 mg twice daily. In people with kidney disorders, the starting dose is 150 mg twice daily.
When changing from another antiepileptic medication to Trileptal, Oxcarb, Oxcarbazepine
The usual starting dose is 300 mg twice daily. Your doctor will gradually increase the dose over a period of 2 to 4 weeks, while reducing the other medication over a period of 3 to 6 weeks. The final dosage of Trileptal, Oxcarb, Oxcarbazepine is typically 1,200 mg twice daily.
Trileptal, Oxcarb, Oxcarbazepine combined with another antiepileptic medication
The usual starting dose is 300 mg twice daily. Your doctor may increase the dose to 600 mg twice daily.
CHILDREN 4 TO 16 YEARS OLD
For children the dosage of Trileptal, Oxcarb, Oxcarbazepine is based on body weight.

Your child's doctor will gradually increase the dose every 3 days until the most effective dose is reached. The usual dose ranges from 300 to 1,050 mg taken twice daily.
When changing from another antiepileptic medication to Trileptal, Oxcarb, Oxcarbazepine
Your child's doctor will gradually increase the dose of Trileptal, Oxcarb, Oxcarbazepine while reducing the other medication over a period of 3 to 6 weeks. The doctor will increase the dose of Trileptal, Oxcarb, Oxcarbazepine weekly until the most effective dose is reached. The usual dose ranges from 300 to 1,050 mg taken twice daily.
Trileptal, Oxcarb, Oxcarbazepine combined with another antiepileptic medication
After a 2-week buildup, the dosage typically ranges from 450 to 900 mg taken twice daily.
