Orudis no Prescription Indications
Orudis is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, with antipyretic and analgesic properties, based on the action of its main active ingredient, ketoprofen.
Its anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic properties have been clearly demonstrated by both animal and in vitro testing, due to its inhibitory action on prostaglandin and leukotriene synthesis, its antibradykinin and lysosomal membrane-stabilizing activity.
Ketoprofen is included in a class of medication called NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), and it has an inhibitory action on the body's production of a substance causing pain, fever and inflammation.
Orudis is indicated to relieve pain, including menstrual pain, minor aches and pain from headaches, toothaches, the common cold, muscle and backaches, and to reduce fever.
Orudis is indicated to relieve pain, tenderness, swelling and stiffness in the joints caused by rheumatoid arthritis and Osteoarthritis.
