- Tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially antibiotics, anticoagulants ('blood thinners') such as warfarin (Coumadin), dexamethasone (Decadron), diuretics ('water pills'), estrogens, isoniazid (INH), MAO inhibitors [phenelzine (Nardil) and tranylcypromine (Parnate)], medications for high blood pressure or heart disease, niacin, oral contraceptives, phenytoin (Dilantin), prednisone, probenecid (Benemid), and vitamins.
- Tell your doctor if you have or have ever had kidney, liver, heart, or thyroid disease or a severe infection.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding. If you become pregnant while taking Glucotrol no Prescription, call your doctor.
- If you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking Glucotrol no Prescription.

Do not take Glucotrol no Prescription with any of the following drugs:
- Bosentan;
- Chloramphenicol;
- Cisapride;
- Clarithromycin;
- Drugs for fungal or yeast infections;
- Metoclopramide;
- Probenecid;
- Warfarin;
- Alcohol containing beverages;
- Aspirin and aspirin-like drugs;
- Chloramphenicol;
- Chromium;
- Diuretics;
- Female hormones, like estrogens or progestins and birth control pills;
- Heart drugs;
- Isoniazid;
- Male hormones or anabolic steroids;
- Drugs for weight loss;
- Drugs for allergies, asthma, cold, or cough;
- Drugs for mental problems;
- Drugs called MAO Inhibitors like Nardil, Parnate, Marplan, Eldepryl;
- Niacin;
- NSAIDs, drugs for pain and inflammation, like ibuprofen or naproxen;

What is a recommended dosage of Glucotrol no Prescription?
Dosage levels must be determined by each patient's needs.
ADULTS
Glucotrol, Diaglip, Glipizide, Glez
The usual recommended starting dose is 5 mg taken before breakfast. Depending upon blood glucose response, your doctor may increase the initial dose in increments of 2.5 to 5 mg. The maximum recommended daily dose is 40 mg; total daily dosages above 15 mg are usually divided into 2 equal doses that are taken before meals.
Glucotrol, Diaglip, Glipizide, Glez XL
The usual starting dose is 5 mg each day at breakfast. After 3 months, your doctor may increase the dose to 10 mg daily. The maximum recommended daily dose is 20 mg.
CHILDREN
The safety and effectiveness of this drug in children have not been established.
OLDER ADULTS
Older people or those with liver disease usually start Glucotrol, Diaglip, Glipizide, Glez therapy with 2.5 mg. They can start Glucotrol, Diaglip, Glipizide, Glez XL treatment with 5 mg.
